Associate Professor Tuguy Esgin has been appointed as Derbarl’s first Noongar Independent Director on the Derbarl Board.

This significant milestone marks a new chapter for the organisation in its commitment to greater Noongar community representation in the governance of the organisation. Tuguy Esgin is a proud Noongar Yamatji man and a respected academic, known for championing Indigenous excellence in higher education.

Derbarl’s Chairperson, Joslyn Eades-Tass said, “Tuguy’s appointment is a major achievement for the organisation.
