Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service (Derbarl) today announces changes to its Board of Directors, following the resignation of Chairperson Ms Thierra Clanton and Deputy Chairperson Ms Katiska Davis.
Both Ms Clanton and Ms Davis were Derbarl members elected to the Board and have made a significant contribution to the organisation’s direction and cultural leadership.
The Board extends its sincere thanks and appreciation for their dedication and service to Derbarl and the communities we serve.
As a proud Aboriginal community-controlled organisation, Derbarl’s Board structure reflects the evolving nature of community-led governance.
These changes are part of the natural cycle of renewal within our governance model, and we continue to uphold the highest standards of transparency, accountability and continuity.
In line with our Rule Book and commitment to robust governance, the Board has elected Ms Joslyn Eades-Tass as Chairperson and Mr Nathan Riley as Deputy Chairperson. Both bring deep community connection and strong leadership to their roles.
Additionally, Mr Rick Brooks has been appointed as a new Independent Director. With extensive experience in governance and strategic oversight, Mr Brooks will further strengthen the Board’s capability and long-term planning.
Derbarl Yerrigan continues to operate from a position of strength and compliance with our Rule Book, with a stable leadership team, strong financial foundations and a clear strategic vision.
Our commitment to delivering high-quality, culturally safe healthcare remains unwavering.
It is business as usual across all our services as we remain focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people across the Perth metropolitan area.
